Election Of Board Officers And Confirmation Of Appointments And <br />Assignments <br />Ward stated that traditionally in January the Board elects officers and <br />considers appointments and assignments for the year. He referenced the <br />documentation, and noted the pending name change of CSAPA (Conejo <br />Substance Abuse Prevention Authority) to (CCfYI=) Conejo Coalition for <br />Youth and Families. <br />Berger nominated Holt to assume the duties of Chair for calendar year <br />2004. The nomination was seconded by Gibson. Gibson moved, and <br />Lange seconded the motion to close the nominations. The election of <br />Holt as Chair was declared unanimous. <br />Lange congratulated Holt. <br />Lange nominated Berger for Vice Chair. The nomination was <br />seconded by Holt, and she moved the nominations be closed. The <br />election of Berger as Vice Chair was declared unanimous. <br />Holt assumed the position of chair, and requested that the vice chair be <br />seated to her immediate left. She thanked Lange for his service as chair <br />and well representing the District. She identified District highlights of 2003, <br />including the District's 40th anniversary, new facilities, awards, open space <br />acquisitions and website accomplishments. She presented Lange with a <br />ceremonial gavel, and assumed the position of chair. <br />Lange thanked staff and members of the Board for their support and said it <br />was an honor to serve the District. <br />Holt referenced current committee assignments, identified one position, <br />Teen Center and Services Authority, whose term was due to expire, and <br />asked for preferences. <br />
