Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported restrooms have been delivered to 1 housantl UaKs Community Park and <br />Northwood Park with hookups expected to be completed over the next few weeks. The <br />Rancho Conejo pickleball courts are close to completion; a ribbon cutting has been <br />scheduled for June 10th. There will be a large user group meeting at Sapwi Trails <br />Community Park tomorrow morning; participants include the Thousand Oaks Soaring <br />Society (TOSS), Conejo Disc Golf Club, Concerned Off -Road Bicyclists Association <br />(CORBA) and representatives from the Thousand Oaks High School Cross Country <br />Team; it is hoped to form an umbrella group of participants from these park users; this <br />meeting will also allow staff to present a status update on the park's development. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reported this Saturday is "Prom... Again" at the Teen center. Sign-ups are now <br />available for the McCrea Summer Movie Series, which is close to being sold out. Two <br />new heaters have been installed at the CLU Pool. Improvements to the Dos Vientos <br />Community Center and the Old Meadows Center have commenced. Callis thanked <br />Board members for their participation in the recent "All District Strings Festival." She <br />recently met with a group of Administrators from Moorpark College; students from <br />Moorpark will soon begin assisting with the District's "Fun Fridays" program. The <br />Therapeutics needs assessment consultant's report should arrive by the end of June; it <br />will be shared with the Board at that time. An $8,500 grant was received from the <br />National Charity League - $2,500 designated for Safe Passage field trips and $6,000 <br />designated for Therapeutics. Callis shared statistics from the recently concluded CSVP <br />Tax Prep Assistance Program; a Certificate of Appreciation was received from the <br />State of California for same. She thanked Hare and Lewanda for their help in preparing <br />her Division's upcoming two-year budget. There were five qualified applicants for the <br />Goebel Cafe Special istlManage r position; interviews were held and the position should <br />be filled very shortly. Rick Tanaka has been promoted to Teen Services Director; the <br />District will be looking to hire a new CSVP Director <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl thanked Hare for all his hard work in preparing this evening's CIP staff report. <br />This Monday, May 8t', is the Gratitude Circle Reception. District staff will be meeting <br />next Tuesday with City staff, including COSCA staff, to discuss COSCA staffing levels. <br />Next Tuesday evening, the City Council has scheduled a goal -setting session at the <br />
