CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />May 4, 2017 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and Segedie led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, and Lewanda, and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Valley Historical Society <br />Deb Roman, Director, Stagecoach Inn Museum, introduced Debbie Birenbaum (President of <br />the Conejo Valley Historical Society) and then presented an overview of the last year's <br />activities and accomplishments at the Stagecoach Inn Museum, including special events, <br />collaborations with other community organizations, unique museum exhibits, volunteer/docent <br />involvement and appreciation. She answered Board Member's questions and was thanked for <br />her informative presentation. Additionally, Birenbaum was thanked for her service to CVHS in <br />this, her last year, as President. <br />Information Technology Overview/Update — Mark Segedie <br />Segedie, Information Technology Analyst, presented an Information Technology overview <br />contrasting the past with a snapshot of the present. Looking to the future, emphasis will be <br />placed on transparency, electronic timesheets and pay stubs, transitioning to "Office 365", <br />increased mobility and identifying threats to security and fighting cyberattacks. Segedie <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for the work he and his assistant, John <br />Friedrich, provide the District. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />David Lake, Thousand Oaks, expressed concern over management of the parking lot at <br />Wildwood Park. <br />
