CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />April 20, 2017 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and Aboytes, De Savia, Rossomando and <br />Vreeke led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis and Hare, Executive <br />Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Annual Recreation Division Service Awards <br />Lauren Aboytes, Recreation Leader— Dos Vientos Community Center <br />Natalie De Savia, Recreation Specialist - Hillcrest Center for the Arts <br />Paula Rossomando, Administrative Clerk — Sports Unit <br />Jennifer Vreeke, Pool Manager —Aquatics Unit <br />Callis introduced the recipients, presented overviews of their professional and academic <br />accomplishments, and thanked them for their outstanding contributions to the District. <br />Recipients thanked the Board, co-workers, and families for their support, and expressed <br />appreciation for the award. <br />Directors congratulated and thanked recipients for their contributions and efforts on the District's <br />behalf. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Mark Lichalk, Thousand Oaks, expressed concern over lack of park rangers and believes <br />more should be hired to oversee the open space, especially with regard to enforcing rules at <br />Wildwood Park. <br />5.
