Total cost of the Meeting Room Renovation is $290,000 and the <br />playground project's final cost will be $630K, of which Play Conejo has donated, to this <br />phase of the project, $65K so far; Play Conejo continues to fundraise, and expects to <br />make a final donation by June 30, 2017. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Huffer and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Determine that the Old Meadows Park Meeting Room Renovation and <br />Playground Improvement Projects are categorically exempt from the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />2. Approve construction of meeting room renovation and playground at Old <br />Meadows Park. <br />3. Appropriate $28,000 from Unassigned Fund Balance to Meeting Room <br />Renovation Project Account 62-802-851-80406-010. <br />4. Increase appropriation by $65,000 for donations to Playground <br />Improvement Project Account 62-802-811-80406-009. <br />5. Waive minor irregularity in EJS Construction bid submittal. <br />6. Award bid to EJS Construction for $504,000 plus contingency in the <br />amount of $41,150, totaling $545,150 for construction of meeting room <br />renovation and playground improvement at Old Meadows Park. <br />F. Award Bid for Dos Vientos Community Park Improvements Project (plus <br />contingency) in the amount of $811,547 <br />Hare referenced staff recommendations; there were twelve interested bidders for this <br />project and three bids were received. United Construction, the low bidder, is currently <br />the contractor at Northwood Neighborhood Park and also completed projects at <br />Thousand Oaks Community Park and Northwood Neighborhood Park; staff has been <br />very pleased with their work. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt and carried " to; <br />Determine that the Dos Vientos Community Park Improvements <br />Project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA). <br />2.
