Determine that the Dos Vientos Community Park Improvements Project is categorically <br />exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />2. Approve construction of improvements at Dos Vientos Community Park. <br />3. Appropriate $45,000 from Unassigned Fund Balance to Improvements Project. <br />4. Award bid to United Construction for $755,000 plus contingency in the amount of $56,547, <br />totaling $811,547 for construction of large and small pavilions, storage room, entry trellis, <br />lobby improvements, and landscaping. <br />CEQA COMPLIANCE <br />Entry Trellis, Lobby and Landscaping Improvements <br />For the Board consideration and approval, District staff believes the project qualifies for a Class <br />2 Categorical Exemption, pursuant to Section 15302 of the CEQA Guidelines. Class 2 <br />exemptions include replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the <br />new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have <br />substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced.
