Sound Mitigation <br />We have an extensive layered plan to mitigate the sound level affecting the homes of Thousand Oaks <br />residents. <br />1) Festival Hours — The festival hours for Saturday will be limited to 12:00pm to 11:00pm, with <br />the concert and all amplified music ending by 9:OOPM. The festival hours for Sunday will be <br />limited to 12:00pm to 9:30pm, with the concert and all amplified music ending by 8:OOPM. <br />2) Stage/Speaker Direction — The stage and speakers will be positioned so that the sound is <br />pushed in the opposite direction of area homes towards the 23 freeway and open areas. (see map) <br />3) Sound Monitors — Sound monitors will be strategically positioned in various area of the festival <br />with electronic sound level meters to ensure compliance with local noise regulations. <br />Community Relations <br />• We will establish a two way communication program with the residents in the area of El Monte <br />Drive <br />We will appoint a single designated community liaison <br />We will appoint a single designated City liaison <br />• We will implement a Community Festival Information campaign prior to the event for <br />neighboring communities as well as the residence and businesses of greater Thousand Oaks <br />• We will establish a dedicated phone line, manned by a Festival Staff Member <br />• We will establish communication directly with the HOA's and Community organizations and <br />establish a Community Volunteer program <br />foxt-5 <br />
