Holt, Vice Chair <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGED EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />DATE: February 2, 2017 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manag <br />SUBJECT: Gratitude Circle — Nomi tion Selection Guidelines <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the Gratitude Circle Recognition Program's Nomination and Selection Guidelines. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Board of Directors recently discussed the existing process for nominating and selecting <br />people to be recognized by the Board at the Gratitude Circle in Conejo Creek North Park, and at <br />the January 17th meeting, an ad hoc committee was formed (Gibson and Holt) to further refine <br />the nomination and selection process. This Committee met on January 24th and their <br />recommendations are attached. <br />Once the Gratitude Circle Recognition Program's Nomination and Selection Guidelines are <br />established, Board members will be able to submit their nominees and begin the ranking and <br />winnowing process to select the Gratitude Circle honorees for 2017. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2016 Strategic Plan Element 4.6 Local non-profit organizations. Maintain and build <br />relationships with local non-profit organizations engaged in activities consistent with the <br />District's mission.
