December 15, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />a. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Year in Review 2016 <br />Friedl reported on CRPD projects, accomplishments and significant events that <br />comprised 2016. He accompanied his report with a PowerPoint presentation. <br />B. Election of Board Chair and Vice Chair <br />Friedl stated that, traditionally, the selection of Chair and Vice Chair is done in <br />December. <br />It was moved by Gibson and seconded by Jones to nominate Lange to serve <br />as Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the nominations. The <br />election of Lange as Chair was declared unanimous. <br />Lange assumed the position of Chair. <br />It was moved by Gibson and seconded by Jones to nominate Holt to serve as <br />Vice Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the nominations. The <br />election of Holt as Vice -Chair was declared unanimous. <br />C. Confirmation of Board Appointments and Assignments <br />Friedl introduced the item; traditionally, committee assignments are reviewed at this <br />time of year. Discussion ensued regarding the necessity of particular committees. <br />Gibson originally moved, and Jones seconded, to abolish the following committees: <br />Ordinance Manual Review Ad Hoc, Park Impact & Quimby Fees Ad Hoc and Board <br />Policy Review Ad Hoc. Hare requested that the Ordinance Manual Review Ad Hoc <br />remain. Gibson modified his motion accordingly. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to abolish the <br />Park Impact & Quimby Fees Ad Hoc Committee and the Board Policy Review <br />Ad Hoc Committee from the CRPD Appointments and Assignments for 2017 <br />D.
