September 5, 2013 <br />Page 6 <br />Lange reported the L.A. River Recreation Zone Program, which provided kayaking <br />from Memorial Day to Labor Day, had many participants. It appears this successful <br />program will be continued next year. The recent fire at the intersection of Las <br />Virgenes Road and the 101 Freeway (northwest corner) burned approximately 170 <br />acres; the result of this burn is that a trail envisioned by MRCA will now be more <br />easily created. <br />Holt referenced the wondertul coverage of CRPD's 50th Anniversary in this week's <br />Thousand Oaks Acorn. The monthly newsletter issued by the Stagecoach Inn <br />("Stagelines") is worthy of reading — CRPD is often praised and acknowledged in the <br />articles written by its Executive Director, Sandy Hildebrandt. <br />F.
