REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes — October 2012 <br />In answer to Holt's question regarding advertising of GSAC events, Lindsey said the <br />Commission believes advertising will be helpful in developing a "brand" and unique <br />image throughout the community. <br />B. 2012-2013 2nd Quarter Capital Improvement Projects Status Report <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported community meetings, co -hosted with SolarWorld, will be held soon <br />regarding the proposed carport installations at DVC, BOC, TOC and CCS. An <br />application has been filed by SolarWorld with the City of Thousand Oaks. The first <br />community service project workday was held at Russell Park this past Saturday. The <br />ribbon -cutting for Del Prado Playfield is scheduled for this Saturday at 1:00 pm. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced the current Recreation Highlights. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported that on December 31, 2012, Dynamic Claims, CRPD's third party <br />administrator for the Worker's Compensation Program, notified the District they <br />would no longer be able to provide their services as of January 9, 2013. As a result, <br />Shelly Howell, Human Resources Manager, obtained three proposals — from York, <br />Carl Warren and Pacific Claims; today, a contract was signed with Carl Warren. <br />Lewanda reported the District is looking to Liebert, Cassidy Whitmore for assistance <br />with upcoming labor negotiations.
