General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated there is a closed session this evening. He referenced the CRPD 50th <br />Anniversary insert in the 'Thousand Oaks Acorn" last week and the CRPD post -it <br />note on the Ventura County Star Jan. 7th. Upcoming speaking engagements, <br />highlighting CRPD's 50th Anniversary, are scheduled for the Kiwanis Club and Casa <br />Conejo MAC. The state budget was released today. Regarding the Mayflower and <br />Warwick project, the CTO Planning Commission approved the project without <br />additional off-site grading. Project is being appealed to the City Council. Referencing <br />the CRPD Board calendar, the January 24th meeting is being canceled; there will be <br />a social event with Pleasant Valley Park & Rec and Rancho Simi Park & Rec that <br />afternoon at the McCrea Ranch. A special meeting will be held on Saturday, <br />January 261h. Meet at the Teen Center at 8:00 am for a bus tour to King Gillette <br />Ranch and to visit various District facilities. Friedl is meeting with Senator Fran <br />Pavley's staff tomorrow for a tour of the District. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Last night, Jones attended his first COSCA meeting as a Board member. <br />Huffer and Gibson met Monday afternoon with Hare. and Friedl as part of the Lang <br />Ranch Ad Hoc Committee — it was a productive meeting; Hare will be bringing some <br />recommendations to the Board based on the meeting's discussions. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Monday Lange attended a meeting with the SMMC and the MRCA regarding a <br />settlement of litigation with the city of Malibu; this issue will go before the Malibu city <br />council next week.
