January 26, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />SITE 2 <br />Old Meadows Park, 1600 Marview Drive, Thousand Oaks <br />Friedl and Hare highlighted the current area being used for Ranger equipment <br />storage. With the Conejo School Yard (CSY) operations being moved to <br />Oakbrook Service Yard (OSY), there will now be room for the Ranger equipment <br />at OSY. This move will allow for a playground expansion, which Ron Block, a <br />local Rotarian, is hoping to accomplish through a major fundraising campaign. <br />Friedl also pointed out the portion of hillside behind the park where St. Patrick's <br />Episcopal Church Day School is hoping to build a trail, allowing access from the <br />church to the park. <br />SITE 3 <br />Lang Ranch Community Park - Oakbrook Service Yard, 2110 Erbes Road <br />Hare described the process by which the prefabricated building was <br />manufactured and placed at Oakbrook Service Yard. Two different contractors <br />were used for the job. Berry Engineering did the site work, including the slab, <br />sewer line and utilities. Diani Building Corp. did the building design and <br />fabrication. The project should be completed mid-March to early April. All <br />operations currently at CSY will be transferred to this facility. <br />(Lange leaves meeting at 9:00 AM) <br />SITE 4 <br />King Gillette Ranch — Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area <br />Interagency Visitor's Center, 26876 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas <br />Scott Hughes, Site Manager of the Visitor's Center, provided a tour of the <br />mansion including a history of its owners and various permutations. Walter <br />Jacobsen gave a tour of the Visitor's Center, which is powered by a solar carport <br />installation. <br />(Jones leaves meeting at 10:10 AM) <br />5. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />
