CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />May 23, 2013 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Lewanda led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey <br />and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />COSTAC Trails Education Days Contest Winners - Elayne Haggan <br />Elayne Haggan, Vice Nres[dent of Conejo Open Space Foundation (COSF), and Mark <br />Langton, Chairperson of Conejo Open Space Trails Advisory Committee (COSTAC) and <br />Secretary of COSF, presented highlights of the 2013 Annual Trails Education Days and <br />introduced this year's contest winners. <br />Matt Cahalan, Lang Ranch Elementary School (absent) <br />Connor Allen, Walnut Elementary School <br />Olivia Pace, Walnut Elementary School <br />Dominic Malialy, Weathersfield Elementary School (absent) <br />Rebecca Schultz, Westlake Hills Elementary School (absent) <br />On behalf of the District, Holt presented gifts to the winners present. The Board thanked <br />Langton, Haggan and the students for their hard work. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />S. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
