April 25, 2013 <br />Page 4 <br />Park South were approved; the administrative hearing for the solar carports at <br />Thousand Oaks Park and Dos Vientos Community Center were held a week and a <br />half ago; they were approved by the Administrative Hearing Officer and no appeals <br />were filed. The Oakbrook Service Yard Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />May 15t; please arrive by 11:15 am. On May 6th, RFPs are due for the <br />Environmental and Design Services for Lang Ranch Community Park <br />Improvements. The Oakbrook Neighborhood Ribbon Cutting is scheduled for May <br />11 n at 2:00 pm. <br />Lindsey referenced the Recreation Highlights. The All District Strings Festival is <br />scheduled for April 30th and May 15t; the format has changed, and as a result, Board <br />members will not be requested to be on stage and address the audience. Reserved <br />seating in the Founders Circle will be available, however; please let Aline know if you <br />would like to attend. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl, along with Huffer and Lange, attended the meeting at the County Board of <br />Supervisors where the District was recognized for its 5e Anniversary and was <br />presented with a Climate Change award, based on the District's being one of the first <br />agencies to cease using anti -coagulant pesticides and the upcoming solar carport <br />projects. <br />There will be no need for a closed session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson congratulated staff for the District recently being awarded the "CARPD Award <br />of Distinction for Outstanding Marketing and Communication." <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange and Holt attended the Grand Opening of the Many Mansions' Hillcrest Villas <br />this evening. There are 60 units at this facility; there are now 13 venues totaling 500 <br />units in the Conejo Valley. <br />
