Holt, Chair <br />Joe Gibson, Vice Chair <br />George Lange, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />DATE: April 25, 2013 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manager <br />SUJBECT: Update to District's Five Year Strategic Plan (2013-2017) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve update to District's Five Year Strategic Plan (2013-2017). <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Board considered the attached Memorandum at the March 28, 2013 Board meeting and <br />proposed some additional minor changes to those presented in the staff report at that meeting. <br />The attached draft document reflects staff's effort to capture the discussion and proposed <br />changes and include them in this "track changes" version of the District's Five Year Strategic <br />Plan (2013-2017). (The new cover, photos and staff list were updated without using track <br />changes). <br />Pages 22-24 of the attached document is a Strategic Plan overview. The "time frame" for <br />some of the strategic goals has been modified to reflect that a particular goal has been <br />accomplished and that "ongoing" attention to that goal is expected.
