Friedl asked the Board to check their calendars for September 5; it would be no problem to reschedule the September 12 meeting to September 5, if needed. 10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Budget Performance Report — January 2013 B. Lang Ranch Community Park Meeting Update Hare gave an update on the Lang Ranch Community meeting that took place on February 21 as a follow-up to the previous four community meetings. in general, the meeting went well. There were 45-50 people in attendance. The Concept Plan was discussed with the group, specifically the differences between the new Concept Plan and the one that the community came up with in April 2012. After discussions with regulatory agencies, the City of Thousand Oaks, and an environmental consultant, minor changes were made, such as the elimination of the bike area behind the dam and the addition of a parking lot off of Arboles. They also discussed access to the parking lots. It was indicated to the group that we would take the next step and send out a Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP for environmental analysis and construction drawing services went out on February 27, to which there have been a few responses. Due to the amount of detail in the RFP, we have a 60 -day window for people to respond. Hare then answered questions from Lange, Jones, and Gibson regarding parking lot locations, capacity (unknown at this time), traffic flow, and the RFP 11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS A. Parks Division Report Hare said snack shack at CCS passed a health inspection. Preliminary fire inspection is coming on March 1. There are a few more inspections to go. We're on target for AYSO's tournament on March 9. Lange asked about additional landscaping, which will have to wait until the refurbishment period, starting about mid-June.
