Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reminded the Board that the Spring Arts and Crafts Festival will be <br />held at the Borchard Center on March 2-3. <br />Halt and Lange expressed their appreciation and thanks for the Volunteer <br />Appreciation Party on Saturday, February 23. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl discussed the City of Thousand Oaks goal setting meeting on <br />Tuesday, March 5. <br />Holt mentioned the Mardi Gras Ball in support of former Board Member, <br />Dennis Gillette. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange reminded the Board about the Little League opening day event on <br />March 2, and the UCLA Health Open House and Ribbon Cutting on <br />Thursday, March 7. <br />Jones relayed comments he received from a resident regarding the <br />increasing senior population and the idea of a senior center in Newbury <br />Park. Lindsey explained that the District continues to expand senior <br />programs in Newbury Park, Dos Vientos and districtwide. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange discussed the Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy meeting on <br />Monday, February 25. An important item discussed was regarding <br />beachfront property in Malibu that was acquired, supported by the Coastal <br />Commission, to provide public access to the beach. Adjacent to the <br />property, there is a property owner who wants to build a three-story house <br />over the water. <br />Holt discussed the Conejo Coalition for Youth and Families meeting on <br />Monday, February 25 at the Ventura County Health Care Agency building <br />
