Minutes 9-28-16 <br />Page 2 <br />GUESTS: <br />Bill Cleary, Evan Stephens, <br />3. PUBLIC DISCUSSION <br />Evan Stephens, GACCISenior Nutrition patron, said he has been in correspondence <br />with Madeen Canniff, Ventura County Senior Nutrition Manager. He said he shared <br />with her opinions expressed by fellow patrons of the program. <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF AUGUST 24, 2016 <br />Smith asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the August meeting, <br />It was moved by Martinich, seconded by Baumeister, and passed <br />unanimously, to approve the minutes of the August meeting as <br />presented. <br />5. OLD AND NEW BUSINESS <br />A. CSVP Use of GSCC Account for Wellness Festival <br />Smith referenced the memo which notes the Commission's status as a <br />501 c3 non-profit, and conveyed CSVP staffs request for permission to <br />deposit "Wellness Fest" sponsorship monies into the GSCC's bank account. <br />He explained the sponsorship funds would then be transferred to <br />CRPDICSVP. He said permission is granted, and noted that this practice has <br />been reviewed by the CRPD general manager who deemed there are no <br />foreseen legal or accounting concerns. <br />B. Main Hall Stage Lights -Approval <br />Hamm referenced the documentation including three bids submitted for main <br />hall stage lighting. She said staff recommends the proposal by LVH <br />Entertainment Systems for $17,412.00 and asked that 10% be added to <br />cover any incidental costs that may arise. <br />It was moved by Blum, seconded by Baumeister, and passed 11 to 1, to <br />authorize funding of up to $19,153 for LVN Entertainment to provide <br />Main Hall Stage Lighting as described in proposal. <br />
