<br />RECOMMENDATION
<br />1. Appropriate $50,000 wireless communication facility revenues in Capital Improvement
<br />Fund (13) to Districtwide Assessment account 62-805-811-81702-022.
<br />2. Award bid to Unlimited Engineering for $326,500 (Base Bid $282,000 plus Add Alternate #1
<br />$44,500) plus contingency in the amount of $21,960, totaling $348,460 for removal of
<br />existing play equipment, sand, resilient surfacing, concrete base, and installation of
<br />playground equipment, engineered wood fiber, drainage, decomposed granite, planting and
<br />irrigation, and installation of shade structure and concrete paving.
<br />BACKGROUND
<br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised in the Ventura County Star, Construction Bidboard, Inc.,
<br />Builder's Notebook, Ventura County Contractor's Association, Inc., and posted on the District
<br />website. Eighteen interested bidders attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting held at the site
<br />on Tuesday, March 11th. Ten bids were received and were opened at 10:00 a.m. on March
<br />25th.
