Readoption of Investment Policy <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Conejo Recreation and Park District's Water Conservation Policy and <br />Practices <br />Hare presented a history of the development of the subject Water Conservation <br />Policy and highlighted key portions, including current efforts, which include turf <br />conversion and DRIP implementation, and possible alternative conservation efforts, <br />such as ceasing irrigation at neighborhood parks, skipping annual turf <br />refurbishments, reduction and/or elimination of permitted use and installation of <br />synthetic turf. The District will be cooperating with the City of Thousand Oaks, <br />which is selecting a consultant to look at reusing local water supplies. Hare <br />answered Board member's questions and discussion ensued concerning the <br />possible scenarios regarding drought effects and conservation efforts. <br />Clint Matkovich, Thousand Oaks, is supportive of CRPD acting as a leader in <br />Ventura County with regard to water conservation. He appreciates the native <br />plants planted at Wildflower Playfield. <br />B. Reclassification of Aquatics Program Director <br />Lindsey presented the recommendations and explained the staffing history of the <br />Aquatics Department and the reasoning behind the requested modifications. <br />Lindsey answered Board member's questions. <br />It was moved by Jones, seconded by Holt and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Approve job description for new Aquatics Supervisor position. <br />2. Eliminate current Aquatics Program Director range 48 and reclassify <br />position to Aquatics Program Supervisor range 57 <br />
