Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported two projects are currently out to bid: playground renovations at Walnut <br />Grove Park and Pickle Ball Court Installation at Rancho Conejo Playfield. There will be <br />a ribbon cutting at Estella Park on Saturday, September 10 at 10:00 am. Sapwi Trails <br />Community Park is going to the City's Planning Commission on September 26. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reported the Registration kick off was last Friday. The final Concert in the Park <br />for this year will be on Monday. She noted there are three upcoming events scheduled <br />at McCrea Ranch. The District has both Facebook and Instagram pages highlighting <br />various CRPD events. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported the auditors will be visiting the District all next week. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported he attended his first CAPRI Board Meeting in Sacramento on <br />August 17. Park Bond (AB 2444) is dead; it will most likely be reintroduced next year. <br />There is an upcoming VCEDA Business Outlook Conference on September 22. <br />Information can be found in Board member's folders; additionally, the folders contain <br />information on how the proposed Transportation Sales Tax is faring. There will be a <br />COSCA Board meeting next Wednesday, September 14. The AWAVC Elected <br />Officials Event is on Thursday, September 15. The following morning, Friday, <br />September 16, there will be a CLU Corporate Leaders Breakfast Series held at the <br />Reagan Library; you may register at CLU's website. Kevin Demoff, Chief Operating <br />Officer of the L.A. Rams, will be the keynote speaker. The Blue Sun Music and Wine <br />Festival will be held on Saturday, September 3 in Westlake. An Executive Closed <br />Session is necessary tonight; no announcement is expected. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Gibson, Jones and Lange attended the VCSDA dinner meeting in August. Gibson <br />noted the VCEDA event on September 22 will be held at the Tower Club in Oxnard. <br />Jones and Huffer enjoyed attended the recent Fishing Frenzy and the Concerts in the <br />Park. Huffer also enjoyed the most recent movie night at McCrea Ranch. He and <br />Gibson attended a Conejo Creek South Ad Hoc Committee meeting on August 25. <br />13.
