Running GSCC Auxiliary Through CSVP <br />Seerden explained how the GSCC Auxiliary was developed to work with the <br />Commission and that the Conejo Senior Volunteer Program (CVSP) has <br />been enlisted to help maintain, add structure, and track the volunteer hours <br />of the group. He explained that when volunteer assistance is desired for a <br />Commission event or program, the Commission event manager would <br />contact Rick Tanaka, CSVP Director, to request volunteer assistance. <br />6. Officer and Committee Reports and Recommendations <br />A. President <br />Seerden reported he is waiting to receive the Commission event flyer <br />graphics software files from former Commissioner Ron Schmidt. He <br />continued that Schmidt created the graphic files in the CoreIDRAW <br />program. <br />McAdam, in response to Seerden, reported the graphic files have been <br />transferred to the new Commission computer, as well as a free thirty -day <br />trial CoreIDRAW graphic design software, and all of Schmidt's <br />Commission -related files. He continued saying choices include purchasing <br />the software after the thirty -day trial period, recreating the files in <br />Publisher, or looking into other software. He said regardless of the <br />decision he will print hard copies of the artwork flyers. <br />Discussion ensued regarding options and software choices. <br />McAdam offered staff assistance to recreate Commission event flyers, <br />posters and event admission tickets utilizing Publisher program. <br />Coleman confirmed with McAdam that staff would accomplish this task <br />within thirty days. <br />McAdam continued that Sheila Smith, former Commissioner and member <br />of the GSCC Auxiliary, is proficient working with CoreIDRAW and has <br />volunteered to assist staff with this project, and if possible, convert existing <br />files to a compatible format. <br />Seerden said he was delighted with staff cooperation. <br />
