In that time we
have given over 36,000 lessons to children and adults with disabilities in the Conejo Valley
alone. From the Walnut Grove Equestrian Center each week we are now serving about 110
riders with disabilities, 25% of them on scholarship. Volunteers drawn from across the
community continue to be the cornerstone of our ability to deliver service — over 85,000
volunteer hours have been dedicated to our mission. Our team now includes nine therapists and
nine instructors. Ride On remains the only nationally accredited Hippotherapy program in all of
Ventura County, as well as LA County.
Last year saw record service
delivery: 7,000 lessons and
therapy treatments given between
both ranches. The demand for our
service has continued to grow
even as the ability of families to
afford to pay has taken a hard hit.
Programming Accom lishments
In the Conejo Valley last year, we
gave approximately 3,075 lessons
and physical therapy treatments —
Hippotherapy. 75% of our riders
are children and the two biggest
populations served are autism
Ride 4n Lessons Given 1994 - 2014
Grand Total by Dec '14: 83,400
8000
7000
6000
Is00o
0
;uaoo0
03000
2000 J
1000 m 1
Ad', ,y°°,y°P,T°',, Nr, ' -,,Q',Vb'
A 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation.
