Minutes 2-25-15
Page 5
2. Curtain, Backdrop and Clock for Main Hall
Hamm reported that during the same city facility improvement walk-
through, she included a request for a new main hall stage curtain.
As to the backdrop, Hamm described several possible visual
improvements to the bare whitewall behind the stage, including
semi-permanent vinyl decals of motivational sayings or decorative
scenes. Seerden suggested designs that could be changed to
suite a theme or season.
Hamm also shared additional requested facility improvements, the
first being the installing of two permanent steps running the length
of the stage to enable easy access up and down to the stage. The
second, an area in the meeting room be converted to a closed
storage area for chairs and tables to reduce clutter.
Hamm also said she will purchase a new clock for the Main Hall
and one for the social lobby.
3. Attendance Reports
Hamm referenced the documentation and said the totals in the report are
correct with a total 11,547 in attendance at 639 meetings/events in the
month of January. In response to Seerden who inquired as to the lower
attendance numbers compared to last year, Hamm noted that in January
2015 the Main Hall was down for a week for floor refurbishment and this did
affect attendance numbers.
4. Past & Upcoming Program Report
Hamm referenced documentation of past programs, and gave an update on
current and upcoming programs. She gave a description of the Valentine's
Day Party.
In upcoming programs, Hamm noted the Teens vs. Seniors Pool Tournament
and stated that some of the teens are mentored by the senior pool players.
5.Trip Program Report
Hamm reported $419.70 revenue from the January trip program. She said
that the Huntington Library trip was cancelled due to low enrollment.
Additionally, she gave an update of enrollment status of future trips.
