Sorensen said the District would need to consult the City <br />attorney for advice on this issue. Gillette commented that we should also <br />consult with our own attorneys regarding the sovereignty issue. <br />Gillette and .Jacobsen both stated we should get the "market rate" for this <br />type of facility, with a minimum of a 3 percent annual increase or structured <br />at Los Angeles Metro consumer price index, whichever is larger. <br />Sorensen assured the Board that if Cox Communication receives a permit <br />from the City, all questions addressed previously would be answered and <br />more detail given as part of the lease agreement. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to execute <br />the submitted letter of authorization and level of interest document <br />with Cox Communications for potential antenna at Thousand Oaks <br />Community Park. <br />9. Announcement Of Opening Of Skate Park Locations <br />Washington recapped the skateboard parks schedule contained in the <br />Board packet. He stated that in order to help defray costs, it had been <br />decided to charge a registration fee. Participation to attend any or all of the <br />skate park openings was encouraged by Board members. <br />B. Correspondence Regarding Park Dedication Fees Received - No <br />Comment. <br />
