October 2, 1997 <br />Page 2 <br />Jacobsen said her concerns were well taken and that CRPD would look at the <br />Master Plan process as the appropriate vehicle for which the needs of the <br />community would be identified. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Gillette, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of September 18, 1997 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - F, Total $328,743.02. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5.0 to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval To Execute Letter Of Authorization And Level Of Interest <br />Document With Cox Communications For Potential Antenna At <br />Thousand Oaks Community Park <br />Sorensen supplemented the information in the Board packet by saying, <br />although it was referred to in the letter, there is no lease attached. The <br />lease Cox Communication sent was not a generic lease, it was an example <br />of a lease they have with a private property owner. The agenda item would <br />allow Cox Communication to apply for a permit for an antenna from the City <br />of Thousand Oaks. In Tuesday night's City Council meeting, there is an <br />agenda item to make some determinations on how the antenna permit will <br />be handled by the City, whether by a special use permit, or whether it would <br />even be allowed on public land. When the City Council considered this item <br />several months ago, the initial reaction was they did not want antennas on <br />
