SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS
None.
4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC
Gina Smurthwaite, Thousand Oaks, stated she had two comments, one in
reference to Waverly Road and the other regarding the Master Plan. She said that
Equestrian Trails International (ETI), Corral 37 has always had a good working
rapport with CRPD and gave a brief history of that relationship. She mentioned
that if a road were to be installed, the equestrian population would be jeopardized.
Waverly residents want Conejo Valley Unified School District to come up with a
solution to the problem they created. She asked that CRPD not support the road
as a solution.
In reference to the Master Plan, Smurthwaite said that ETI has been the sole
lessee of Waverly Park for many years. She referenced a conversation she had
with Tex Ward and stated that ETI is very excited about the process for which the
Master Plan will be created, and that ETI is looking forward to working with the
public and school board in putting together a better park, where the equestrian
community will continue to be involved.
