Correspondence From County Auditor -Controller Regarding Statement Of <br />Money In County Treasury - No Comment <br />B. Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And Agenda - July 14, <br />1997 - No Comment <br />C. Correspondence Regarding State Budget And Status Of ERAF Reform <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Ward said that there were no ERAF <br />developments to report at this time. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen stated that bids for Newbury Gateway Park were $34,000 over <br />budget, and it was recommended to City Council that all bids be rejected, <br />different specifications be developed, and the project be rebid in September. <br />Summarizing, he said that a small fire was reported in Thousand Oaks Park, <br />and staff will initiate a recruitment process to fill the position of Ranger <br />Supervisor, soon to be vacant due to the resignation of Doug Tait, and the <br />90 -day establishment period on Rancho Conejo Playfield will begin on July <br />29. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that the contract for the <br />Newbury Gateway Park was a lump sum bid and the next one will use an <br />alternate format. <br />B.
