DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen has been in contact with members of the community who have an <br />interest in developing an approximate 5,000 sq, ft. community garden. <br />Newbury Park Rotary is interested in placing a community event sign at <br />Michael and Borchard. Continuing, Sorensen said that Mayor Lazar met with <br />the Rancho Conejo Homeowners Association regarding the park, and had <br />received a letter critical of the Shapell project. <br />An agreement has been reached between the Park District and Shapell in <br />regard to the selection of play equipment manufacturers for the playground. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington said that walk-in registration is progressing nicely; Special <br />Olympics Summer Games will be held next week at UCLA, with 33 <br />participants from CRPD. The second Annual Greek Festival held last week <br />had higher attendance than last year, also the 10th Annual Artwalk was a <br />great success. Summer Concert Series, July 4th, 5 p.m. Conejo Pops <br />Concert, and Fireworks at the Cameron House. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No Report <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward said that there was an ad hoc meeting Thursday and progress of Hill <br />Canyon is on schedule. Schematic approval milestone will take place June <br />25, 6:30 p.m. City Hall, at a meeting of the Hill Canyon Regional Recreation <br />Authority (All Board and City Council members.) The Assembly passed <br />legislation involving ERAF refund, and more information forthcoming relative <br />to the final appropriation and the formula to be utilized. <br />
