Approve the expansion of the District's website and appropriate <br />the funds necessary for implementation, <br />2. Direct staff to research and draft guidelines for advertising <br />banners to be included on the website. <br />In response to inquiries, Jorgensen said that the expense, if approved, will be <br />identified in the 1997-98 Budget as a data processing work center item, a <br />majority of the 40 to 50 e-mail messages received per month indicate a <br />desire for on-line registration, the proposal would not result in a decrease in <br />catalog mailings, it is not primarily a cost savings plan, electronic registration <br />was envisioned as part of the original website strategy, and a dynamic, <br />interactive site is desired by most users. <br />Lange said that advertising should be considered. <br />The motion carried 4-1, with Gillette voting in opposition. <br />B. Adoption Of Resolutions 052297- A, B, And C, And Set Date For Public <br />Hearing Regarding Landscape Maintenance District 94-1 For Dos <br />Vientos Development <br />Sorensen reviewed the LIVID for the Dos Vientos development, and identified <br />the boundaries of the assessment district and the proposed components. <br />He said that after consideration of adoption of the first resolution, James D. <br />Grisham of Willdan Associates would review the Engineer's Report. <br />In response to Gillette's inquiry, Sorensen discussed the proposed schedule <br />of construction. Gillette expressed concern that the facilities would be built <br />before the construction of homes. In response to Board concerns, Sorensen <br />said that staff is requesting full disclosure in escrow documents, the full <br />disclosure ordinance of the City of Thousand Oaks must be complied with, it <br />is the intent to have light poles erected in the community park site prior to <br />home construction, and staff will attempt to see that sales office information <br />is complete. <br />It was moved by Berger and seconded by Lange to adopt Resolution <br />052297- A, A resolution initiating proceedings for the annual levy of <br />assessments and ordering the preparation of an engineer's "report" for <br />a special maintenance district, that it be read in title only and all other <br />readings be waived. <br />In response to Board concerns, Ward said that the Operating Engineers <br />
