March 20, 1997
Page 3
B. Approval Of Request By City Of Agoura Hills For Use Of Mobile Stage
Washington noted the letter of request, and stated that the City of Agoura
Hills has used the stage in the past, none of the requested dates conflict with
the District's anticipated usage, and revenue to the District will be
approximately $850.
In response to Board inquiries, Washington said that an annual inspection is
conducted on the stage; additionally, the stage is checked both before and
after each use, and the $850 revenue is per use. Jacobsen requested that
brochures from the City of Agoura Hills be provided to the Board and District
for distribution. Ward said that display of out -of -district brochures is allowed
as space permits.
It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried unanimously,
4-0, to approve the use of the mobile stage at Chumash Park by the
City of Agoura Hills for Sundays, June 22, July 27, August 10, and
August 24, 1997, and to authorize staff to issue a rental use permit to
the City Community Services Department.
9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
A. Tri -Agency Capital Project Priority Survey
Jorgensen invited comments and questions. Ward said that the school
district and the City Council were satisfied with the survey, only minor
changes are expected, refined survey techniques and demographic
information will be part of the survey process, the data will be analyzed to
determine the extent of community support for various projects, and a voted
measure could then be designed to emphasize appropriate projects.
Jorgensen said that the survey was primarily a public opinion instrument,
and a marketing plan will be created based on the results. The Board
discussed the wording of certain questions. Jorgensen said that he would
communicate the Board's inputs to the polling firm. Ward said Board input
was appreciated.
10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. District Special Events Through April, 1997 - No Comment
B.
