Welty said that <br />approximately 75 percent of the "dog parks" are located <br />on main arterial streets. <br />Gillette noted that the meeting was not a public hearing, <br />but was an opportunity for the Board to discuss the topic <br />publicly, and the public to express opinions. <br />Andrew S. Hughes, Esq. of England, Whitfield, Schroeder <br />& Tredway, LLP, representing the Village Homes Property <br />Owners Association, said that he supports the <br />recommendation. He referenced the submitted <br />documentation, and identified problems and concerns with <br />the Triunfo Park site. <br />Rich Pearsall of Westlake Village, said that he concurred <br />with Hughes' statement, and he cited concerns of noise, <br />traffic, and parking. <br />James Wall, of Thousand Oaks, said he opposed the Triunfo <br />Park site as a leash free area, unleashed dogs in the <br />park are a current problem, and a majority of homeowners <br />in the area are opposed to the site. <br />Gary Asarch, of Westlake Village, stated his opposition <br />to the Triunfo Park site, and said he supports a "dog <br />park" in Conejo Creek Park or other regional, centrally <br />located, park site. <br />Crosby E. Fentress, of Westlake Village, spoke in <br />opposition to the Triunfo Park site, and said that local <br />residents are opposed to the use of that site, and <br />suggested the "dog park" be placed near the equestrian <br />center. <br />Judy Boivers, of Westlake Village, spoke in opposition <br />to the Triunfo Park site, citing the park's small size, <br />and she urged the use of another site. <br />Don Power, of Westlake Village, spoke in opposition to <br />the Triunfo Park site, and spoke of the current disregard <br />of leash laws in the park. <br />Terry Kingston, of Westlake Village, spoke in opposition <br />to the Triunfo Park site, and cited current problems in <br />the park. <br />
