Conejo Valley Days Official Events, 1997 <br />Ward identified a correction; i.e., the CVD Kick Off <br />Picnic will be March 15 not 16. <br />D. Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And <br />Agenda - November 18, 1996 - No Action <br />E. District Special Events Through December, 1996 <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that parks <br />can be closed and events cancelled due to weather. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that the Courtly Homes developer, which <br />is required to construct the Dos Vientos Playfield, has <br />agreed to provide lighting for the ballfields, but is <br />balking at further lighting responsibilities at the site. <br />Gillette agreed that, given the extent of the recreation <br />needs of the area, all of the Dos Vientos amenities need <br />to be lit. <br />Concluding, Sorensen said that the recruitment process <br />for the Park Maintenance Superintendent position has been <br />reactivated, and filling the position will not impact the <br />budget. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />In Washington's absence, Ward reported that: Fall 1996 <br />registration figures represent an increase of about four <br />percent over the preceding year, approximately 400 <br />
