CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 17, 1996 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />1, CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gillette called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m., and <br />led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Holt, Jacobsen, and <br />Lange <br />Holt arrived at 7:35 p.m. <br />Jacobsen arrived at 7:36 p.m. <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, <br />Sorensen, and Washington, Accounting Supervisor Jan Robertson, <br />Teen Services Director Brenda Coleman, Recreation Supervisor <br />Renee Muro, Senior Grounds Supervisor Pete Peterson, Building <br />Maintenance/Grounds Supervisor Ruben Rojo, and Executive <br />Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Cheerleading Camp Renee Muro <br />Muro briefly discussed the cheerleading camp and <br />presented a video on camp activities. She indicated it <br />is a new, very popular program that has positively <br />impacted many young people. <br />Additionally, Muro highlighted the recent summer <br />activities of Conejo Center, noting that revenue <br />projections were exceeded by $7,000 and over 130 programs <br />were conducted. <br />She thanked staff and the Board for their support. <br />B. Presentation Of Employee Recognition Awards <br />Ward praised District employees, and said that he was <br />pleased to recognize them. On behalf of the Board and <br />
