Minutes 11-7-96 <br />Page 3 <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried <br />unanimously, 4-0, to grant approval to meet in joint <br />session with the Thousand Oaks City Council on November <br />12 to receive staff reports and provide direction for <br />further staff actions that may need to be taken. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />A. Election Of Special District Representative To The Local <br />Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) <br />Ward referenced the documentation, including that from <br />James Acosta, incumbent ISD (Independent Special <br />Districts) representative to LAFCO, and stated that <br />Gillette will be the District's representative at the <br />November 18 meeting. <br />Lange said that he, too, will attend the meeting and <br />assist Gillette. In response to Holt's comments, Ward <br />explained the representation and selection processes and <br />organizations involved. Berger expressed confidence in <br />Gillette's and Lange's judgment and representation of the <br />District. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. City Of Westlake Village Correspondence - No Action <br />B. Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And <br />Agenda (SMMC) - October 21 And November 4, 1996 <br />Berger stated that the October 21 meeting of the Santa <br />Monica Mountains Conservancy and the Mountains Recreation <br />and Conservation Authority (MRCA) was postponed, and the <br />meeting has been put on hold. <br />C, Ventura County Special Districts Association Meeting <br />Notice And Agenda - November 5 <br />And Minutes - September 3 - No Action <br />D. Teen Center Status Report - Summer 1996 <br />Lange said that the attendance at the Teen Center is <br />gratifying and he commended staff. <br />
