Minutes 7-25-96 <br />Page 4 <br />Continuing, he said that the Michael Park concept plan <br />and signage were reviewed and approved by the City of <br />Thousand Oaks Council on July 23; requiring concurrence, <br />the signage will be presented to the Board August 8 for <br />review; and although there will be a slight delay in <br />grant funding, construction drawings will begin July 26. <br />In response to Gillette's inquiry, Ward clarified that <br />the agreement between the District and the City <br />stipulates that the park name be a bilateral decision, <br />and an on-site sign acknowledging the site as District <br />property may be appropriate. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington highlighted recent past successful events, <br />including the fifth anniversary party of the Goebel <br />Senior Adult Center on July 15 and the Blues-iana and <br />Gospel concert July 21. He referenced communication <br />relative to the teen summer musical, "Sweeney Todd", and <br />invited the Board's attendance. He said that the final <br />two summer concerts will be the Country Western Hoedown <br />on August 18 and the Conejo Pops Orchestra on September <br />2. <br />Gillette said that representatives of the County, State, <br />and District attended the senior center's anniversary <br />party. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Jorgensen reported that the District's presence on the <br />internet will be initiated by fall. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Jorgensen said that the <br />computer inventory list is being revised because some of <br />the computers formerly identified as obsolete have been <br />reactivated in other District work sites, and the <br />computer inventory list will be complete in August. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that, pursuant to the McCrea Ranch <br />agreement, the transfer of certain properties will be <br />executed within the next few weeks. <br />
