Minutes 6-27-96 <br />Page 2 <br />Judith Harker stated that in many areas there are no formal <br />homeowners' associations. <br />Ward presented an historical overview of the site, noting that <br />there are no funds available for site development. He said <br />that any development should involve the school district. <br />Gillette said that it was his personal opinion that Conejo <br />Valley Days and other major events should be held somewhere <br />other than the Conejo Creek site. Lange stated his <br />appreciation for interested individuals and groups willing to <br />become involved in community activities - <br />Carol Wisniewski said that she and others want the opportunity <br />to provide input when the time comes for site development. <br />Sandra Clayton said that the coalition has the ability to work <br />with staff to help identify and fund phased in site <br />development, and members are not dissatisfied with the <br />District's stewardship. <br />Myron Baker spoke of pollution problems, including dust, <br />noise, lights, and rodents, that adjoining Conejo Creek <br />property owners must deal with. <br />Joel Wyenn said that the coalition desires to be part of a <br />voluntary advisory committee to the District, to be of <br />service, and to gather and disseminate information. <br />Judith Harker, said the coalition is aware of, and sensitive <br />to, the problems identified by Baker. <br />Berger said that Conejo Creek is a regional park, and, <br />consequently, input is needed from the whole community. He <br />identified numerous sporting and community facility needs. <br />Sandra Clayton said that flexible recreational fields can be <br />an inclusive community resource. <br />Lisa Creps said that equestrian facilities are important to <br />the Waverly Heights' homeowners. <br />Walt Schaedle said that the District benefits from Conejo <br />Valley Days, and he welcomes any opportunity to meet and share <br />information. <br />Gillette said that the Board will take the matter under <br />continued advisement and he promised that the dialogue will <br />continue. He recessed the meeting at 7:43 p.m. <br />
