General Manager's Report <br />Ward said that he attended a meeting with City staff, Dr. <br />Hagopian, and Steve Cook, of Keep Parks Public, regarding <br />restrictions on disposition of public land, and he <br />highlighted some of the restrictions. He said that the <br />disposition of the School District's Conejo Creek <br />property was touched upon, and the City is interested in <br />a 15 -year commitment from the School District for a park <br />and ride lot, which could have implications for access <br />to the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) fields. <br />Continuing, ward said that Gillette and he met with <br />Supervisor Schillo regarding the continuance of the <br />Conejo Ventura Park Services Agency; the consensus of the <br />meeting was to suspend the joint powers agency until <br />further needed. <br />He noted a handout relative to a potential initiative <br />filed with the City. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiries, Ward said that there <br />are a few legislative measures with potential financial <br />impact for the District, he will attend a legislative <br />meeting on April 3, and administration representatives <br />have said that they would oppose a reversal of the tax <br />shift. Regarding the Quimby fees generated by Lake <br />Sherwood, Ward said that all fees were paid in one sum <br />and were split on a 60-40 basis, some funds remain in the <br />account, and the County's portion of the funds can not <br />be diverted from the Conejo Valley. <br />Gillette said that the remaining funds are interest <br />proceeds, and he agreed that stipulations require that <br />the funds be used in Conejo Valley. <br />E, Directors' Reports <br />No reports. <br />12.
