Minutes 2-15-95
Page 4
D. Correspondence Regarding Park Dedication Fees Received -
No Comment
11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS
A. Park Division Report
Sorensen recalled that staff previously noted an interest
by the City of Thousand Oaks to use a portion of the
Fiore Playfield as a temporary preschool site, but said
that the latest communication indicates the City is no
longer interested. Continuing, Sorensen said that on
February 14 the COSCA Board voted to transfer land
adjacent to the Rancho Conejo Playfield to the District
for use as a playfield_parking lot.
In response to Gillette's inquiry, Sorensen stated that
Shapell open space will not be transferred to COSCA until
agreement is reached by the City, the District, and COSCA
as to the final boundaries of the Hill Canyon Regional
Recreation Area.
B. Recreation Division Report
Ward noted the calendar of events' handout.
C. Administration Division Report
No report.
D. General Manager's Report
Ward stated that, relative to the Rancho Conejo property
transfer mentioned earlier, staff will shortly submit a
proposal for Board consideration concerning a transfer
of properties and trail construction and connections.
Relative to Hill Canyon Regional Recreation Area and
allied issues, Ward said that a resolution of intent will
be submitted for Board consideration germane to the
transfer of properties associated with that project.
He said that the Conejo Valley Days Parade is scheduled
for April 27, and arrangements are being made for a
conveyance similar to last year's.
