Presentation of Employee Service Awards <br />Ward praised District employees and said he was pleased <br />to be able to recognize so many. On behalf of the Board <br />and District, Ward presented service awards to CRPD <br />employees for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, and twenty-five <br />years of service to the District. <br />Milton Guiglio and Cindy Gullekson received awards for <br />five years' service; Richard Bessey and Lori Olbrich for <br />ten years; Terri Cata, Marie Lichtenstein, and Ruben Rojo <br />for fifteen years; Robert Barrett, Phyllis Bluhm, and Amy <br />Tobin for twenty years; and Stirling Peterson for twenty- <br />five years. An overview of each employee's professional <br />and academic achievements was presented. <br />The Board expressed its appreciation for the efforts and <br />contributions of the employees to the District and the <br />community. The employees thanked the District and Board <br />for their support. <br />Gillette announced that the Thousand Oaks Community Center <br />Program Presentation was cancelled for the evening but will <br />be rescheduled. <br />Gillette briefly adjourned the meeting at 8:35 p.m. The <br />meeting was reconvened at 8:44 p.m. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Bob Weber, homeowner, stated that presentations made by Sport <br />X representatives have been unsatisfactory and have not proven <br />that sufficient community need for the facility exists. He <br />said that it was inappropriate to use public property for <br />private gain. <br />Sharon Noel, homeowner, expressed concern that the proposed <br />Sports X project would endanger the surrounding greenbelt <br />system. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried <br />unanimously, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />
