Activity And Attendance Report - June, 1998 <br />Lange noted the active Widows & Widowers Program at Goebel Senior <br />Adult Center. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that the second community workshop for the Conejo <br />Creek Master Plan was held on August 3, he noted the presence of "dog <br />park" supporters at the meeting, and discussed possible locations for the <br />facility . He said that four focus group meetings have also been held, and a <br />Public Hearing is scheduled for October 1. <br />Continuing, he discussed repair projects at the Stagecoach Inn, and <br />obstacles to securing additional parking for the complex. <br />Gillette urged that all opportunities for public acquisition of additional <br />parking space at the complex be pursued. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the park and ride <br />facility near Conejo Creek North may be used for approximately 20 years, <br />and it is considered in the Master Plan discussions for additional parking <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington reported that the Young Artists Ensemble presentation of <br />Chess received good reviews and had an average attendance of about 200 <br />patrons per show. He said that the Teen Center recently sponsored a <br />successful trip to Raging Waters, and a final summer dance is scheduled <br />for August 8. Concluding, he said that several senior softball teams <br />associated with Goebel Senior Adult Center will play in national <br />tournaments, the Spencer Davis Group will perform August 16 as part of <br />the Summer Concert Series, and he identified and discussed numerous <br />Labor Day special events, including a concert by the AH American Boys <br />Chorus, a multi -faceted celebration of parks and recreation, and a <br />ceremony commemorating the retirement of a 1970 $3.3 million bond issue, <br />C.
