CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 2, 1998 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and Ward led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Sorensen, and <br />Washington, Recreation Manager Wiley, Park Maintenance Superintendent <br />Marchesano, Senior Grounds Supervisor Peterson, and Executive Secretary <br />Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Employee Service Awards <br />Ward commended District employees and said that he was pleased to recognize <br />them. On behalf of the Board and District, Ward presented awards to CRPD <br />employees for ten, fifteen, twenty and thirty years of service to the District. <br />Overviews of each employee's professional and academic achievements were <br />presented. <br />Joe Tornero received an award for ten years of service to the District, Kevin <br />Lukes for 15 years, William Spear and Michael Spoehr for 20 years, and Jim <br />Gilmore for 30 years. <br />The Board expressed appreciation for the efforts and contributions of the <br />employees to the District and the community. The employees thanked District <br />staff and management and Board members for their support. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. and reconvened at 8:00 p.m. <br />
