Approval Of Memorandum Of Understanding To Regulate 1998 Conejo Valley Days Kickoff Picnic At Borchard Community Park Washington referenced the documentation, identified Borchard Park as the nein location for the event, and noted the presence of Vem Miller, Conejo Valley Rotary and Event Chair. He said that Board approval is sought since the kickoff is a major community event, and he identified a clerical error in item 20 of the MOU, and said it would be corrected. In response to Gillette's concern, biller said that beer consumption has been declining for several years, the event is now oriented toward families with young children, and the event was relocated to attract and involve such families. He referenced a diagram and identified the location of event components, including the possible inclusion of a helicopter ride concession. In response to Gillette's inquiry, Washington said that extensive permitting and logistics processes would be necessary for approval of a helicopter ride concession. Jacobsen requested that, henceforth, the Board be alerted when unusual activities or features not originally stipulated in the permit documentation are proposed.
