Administration Division Report <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Jorgensen said that no data was permanently <br />lost during the recent failure of the District's AS400 computer system, and at <br />the October 5 Board meeting staff will present a request for additional <br />hardware to expand the hard drive component of the AS400 system. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward referenced handouts including Open and Public, a updated user's <br />guide to the Brown Act, Hiking in lildwood Regional Park by Tom Maxwell, <br />Ph.D., and the final draft of the proposed community survey by Shilts <br />Consultants. He reported that he was invited to attend a meeting with <br />Conejo Valley Unified School District administrators for preliminary <br />discussions of their plans for the area south of Janss Road, north of Conejo <br />Creek South, relative to a proposed continuation high school and Moorpark <br />Community College satellite facility. <br />Continuing, he said that a hearing in the litigation regarding Tucker Land <br />Company versus MRCA (Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority) <br />et al. is scheduled for September 26, and he commended staff for efforts to <br />provide MRCA financial data to legal representatives. <br />Concluding, Ward said that he has been invited by State Senator Richard K. <br />Rainey to be a member of the Senate Committee on Local Government's <br />"Working Group on Revising the Recreation and Park District Law," and the <br />first meeting is scheduled for October 5. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange highlighted the handout The Commission on Local Governance for the <br />21"' Century. • A Status Report on LAFCO Reform. He reported that the next <br />VCSDA (Ventura County Special Districts Association) meeting will include <br />dinner, and is scheduled for November 6.
