Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that, in conjunction with the Therapeutics Advisory Board, <br />a dedication ceremony of the Old Meadows Neighborhood Park playground <br />upgrade is scheduled for October 1, and the refurbishment is due to a grant <br />from the California Integrated Waste Management Board; a date has not yet <br />been determined for the Kimber Park groundbreaking ceremony; and the <br />Walnut Grove Park equestrian center proposal will be presented to the Board <br />July 27. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reviewed July 4 activities and said they were well attended. <br />Continuing, she said that 400 youth participated in the July 8 teen dance, the <br />Explore Mexico Camp will begin July 17, Ambrosia will be the featured <br />performer at the July 16 Concert in the Park, and the Young Artists Ensemble <br />will present Grease July 21 through 29 at the Civic Arts Plaza. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Benton said that approximately 3,500 people <br />attended the Memorial Day concert. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Jorgensen explained that recent decisions <br />relative to contemplated software purchases will be reflected in reduced <br />budget requests. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that work continues on the website redesign, the Conejo <br />Valley Historical Society Fiesta del Triunfo is scheduled for July 15, staff is <br />working with the Goebel Senior Center Commission and City staff to consider <br />options for needed Goebel Center expansion, no meeting date has yet been <br />confirmed to discuss Lang Ranch flood control issues, and election materials <br />for a seat on the Board of Directors will be available July 17 and the final <br />filing date is August 11. <br />
