4. <br />2. <br />9 <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 20, 2000 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Berger called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m., and Jacobsen led the flag <br />salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, <br />Sorensen, Recreation Services Manager <br />Recreation Coordinators McAdam and <br />Ohren <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Administrators Benton, Jorgensen, and <br />Lindsey, Recreation Supervisor Engel, <br />Laufenberg, and Executive Secretary <br />Clay Hulett, Conejo Valley Activities Corporation, reaffirmed the positive <br />relationship between CVAC and the District, and distributed event memorabilia. <br />Outdoor Unit Presentation — Scott Engel and Michael McAdam <br />Engel presented an overview of the unit, and said that programs include hikes with <br />naturalists, custom programs, and four summer day camps. <br />McAdam identified and discussed Wildwood Day Camp, Specialty Day Camp al <br />Borchard Community Center, Adventure Day Camp, and the Jr. Ranger Program. <br />He stated program goals, highlighted various activities at the camps, and <br />presented a slide show of program participants and activities. <br />ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5.
