May 4, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of April 20, 2000 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - C, Total $371,015.89 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0, with <br />Gibson abstaining, to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing — Fiscal year 2000-2001 Budget <br />Ward stated that this is the first of a series of public hearings on the <br />proposed budget which will continue until the budget is adopted in July. <br />Berger declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Nick Quidwai, Newbury Park, said he was very satisfied with the <br />responsible fiscal policies of the District, and commended staff for its <br />efforts. <br />As no one else was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the <br />Public Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption Of Resolutions 050400-A, 050400-B And 050400-C, Setting <br />The Date For A Public Hearing For landscape Maintenance District 94- <br />1, Dos Vientos <br />Sorensen reviewed the establishment and relevant history of the <br />Landscape Maintenance District for Dos Vientos Ranch and the purpose of <br />the proposed resolutions, and he identified and discussed the proposed <br />improvements within LIVID 94-1. <br />In response to Berger's inquiry, Sorensen clarified notification requirements, <br />and said it is expected that the annual levy to be proposed will be less than <br />that authorized in the LIVID 94-1 election in June 1998, the Board must <br />review the Engineer's Report, and the Public Hearing will be June 8, 2000 <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />
