Authorization To Award Contract For District Wide Weed Abatement <br />To Pepo Weed Abatement In Amount Of $66,000 <br />Sorensen reviewed the bid process, and said that the District has used <br />Pepo Weed Abatement in the past, their base bid was $66,000, and their <br />proposal meets District specifications. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that the bid was advertised, <br />staff contacted a number of contractors, only Pepo responded, and <br />California Conservation Corp assists with weed abatement. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0, to <br />authorize the General Manager to award the contract for District wide <br />Weed Abatement to Pepo Weed Abatement in the amount of $66,000, <br />with funds coming from Account 350-2212 in the amount of $45,000, <br />and Account 350-1114 in the amount of $21,000. <br />D. Adoption Of Resolution Number 032300-A, A Resolution Setting The <br />Facility Fee And Charges For The Conejo Recreation And Park District <br />Ward said that staff conducted the annual review of fees, and, based on the <br />CPI, recommends a five percent increase for facility rentals and filming <br />permits, excluding tennis and racquetball/handball courts. He said that the <br />fees are consistent with those in surrounding areas, and the schedule <br />would become effective July 1, 2000. <br />In response to Holt's concern, Ward said it is a flexible, reasonable, and <br />consistent policy, staff attempts to work with local community groups, and <br />he cited examples of, and criteria for, fee adjustments. <br />
