CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 24, 2000 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Berger called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m., and Ward led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen and Sorensen, <br />Park Maintenance Superintendent Marchesano, Senior Grounds Supervisor <br />Peterson, Maintenance Crew Leader Tornero, Personnel Supervisor Bluhm, and <br />Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Employee Recognition Awards <br />Ward commended District employees, and said that he was pleased to recognize <br />them. On behalf of the Board and District, Ward presented awards to CRPD <br />employees for twenty-five, twenty, ten, and five years of service to the District. An <br />overview of each employee's professional and academic achievements was <br />presented. <br />Myrna Aronson received an award for twenty-five years of service; Michael Hawk <br />for twenty years; Pete Martinez, Lowell Tuttle, Shauna Welty, and Paul Pierce <br />for ten years; and Glen Kinney for five years. <br />Board members expressed appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the <br />employees to the District and community, and said they were pleased to have the <br />opportunity to get better acquainted with District employees. The employees <br />thanked District staff, management, and the Board for their support. <br />Jorgensen acknowledged Bluhm's efforts on behalf of the ongoing recognition <br />program. <br />
